Best Practice for Nucleic Acid Quantifications
With full scan capability ranging from 200 - 900 nm for rapid and complete sample analysis in as little as 1.7 seconds per sample, the N120 record-breaking design will exceed expectations. Measure 96 samples 100 times faster with fewer steps than other scanning methods. In addition, you get detailed information for each sample, including full high-resolution scan results and sample purity ratios.
The patented Sample Compression Technology™ provides unmatched precision through fixed measurement geometry. The system applies an automatic switch to an alternative fixed path length depending on the sample concentration. Sample compression has the added benefit of preventing evaporation by holding the sample in place. This sealed and protected microenvironment allows reliable measurements of nucleic acids and proteins and even samples in volatile solvents.
Unlike Nanodrop-type instruments, the NanoPhotometer requires no recalibration or maintenance. The Implen Nanophotometer works with accurate path lengths defined by high-precision metal parts. The part makes an up-and-down motion without the use of a mechanical wheel. Wheels get exhausted over time, resulting in poor consistency. The Implen systems measuring part use up-and-down motion without a motorized wheel, meaning it will not deviate over time. The system automatically sets the correct path length for the best measurement results depending on the sample and the corresponding absorbance required.
Easy sample application
The NanoPhotometer N120 features unique and proprietary 12 Point Technology™ with several positioning guides for single and multi-channel pipettes. Patented illuminated sample application area and animated sample processing grid ensure convenient and error-free sample application. The design is compatible with various multi-channel pipettes and supports the user while positioning the tips on the sample windows.
Consistent results
Reliably analyze across a wide concentration range: 2 to 8,000 ng/µl for dsDNA. Compared to other technologies, the NanoPhotometer® N120 also provides trustworthy data for accurately determining 260/280 and 260/230 ratios. Blank Control™ and Sample Control™ monitor the measurement process and highlight readings outside the expected purity range.
The sample surface consists of fully scratch-resistant quartz. You don't have to compromise on accuracy and reproducibility and have a lifetime maintenance-free system. Swipe with a KimWipe™ to clean the area. Feel confident the instrument is clean with integrated warnings alerting you of dirty sample surfaces, fingerprints, or lint.
Control your NanoPhotometer via touchscreen, tablet, or computer. Equipped with WiFi, USB A/B, HDMI, and LAN interface connections and a Front USB flash drive port for quick and easy data transfer, you have the storage and analysis flexibility required. Define and store your data and methods and retrieve them through the NanoPhotometer® Network Drive. Optional connection and control via LIMS is also available.
The multitude of measurement options allows versatile applications. Nucleic Acids, DNA, RNA, mRNA, Oligos, and others with QC Ratios (260/280 and 260/230)
