Medium 199 (M199 medium) with Earle's Salts, developed in 1950, is a defined nutritional source for cell cultures. It is suitable for cultivating many cell types, vaccine production, virology, and other in vitro cell culture applications. This formulation of Medium 199 is supplemented with L-Glutamine.
