The ThermoShaker TSC is a variable speed and temperature microtube shaking incubator. The Thermomixer has 5 easily interchangeable block modules for different sample volumes, which support a wide range of incubation and shaking tasks in the laboratory. The 5 interchangeable block modules, available to meet the needs of most laboratory procedures, work for 0.2 mL, 0.5 mL, 1.5 mL, and 2.0 mL microtubes, as well as 96-well microtiter plates (PCR plates). The Thermomixer TSC has a cooling function enabling temperature control at -15°C to
0°C at room temperature and can be used safely in cold rooms. Furthermore, the temperature calibration function allows the user to calibrate the unit over a range of approx. ± 6% of the selected temperature to compensate for differences in the thermal behavior of tubes or MTPs from different manufacturers.
The system has a compact and easy-to-use design and works quietly. Combining the incubation phase with mixing has multiple benefits. It reduces the processing time of reactions, relieves the operator‘s workload, and increases the efficiency of many procedures.
The ThermoShaker combines variable shaking speeds from 250 to 1,400 rpm, a 2 mm shaking orbit, and a soft start function, allowing gentle to vigorous mixing. The high-quality, quiet motor ensures regulated and reproducible rotation throughout the speed range. The shaking can be configured for continuous or timed operation with a buzzer and automatic switch-off.
