FreezeMe One is a cryoprotective cell culture medium containing 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and 20% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). FreezeMe On is a complete freezing medium used for applications such as long-term storage of an established cell line or cell stock maintenance.
DMSO and FBS serve as cryoprotective agents that reduce the freezing point of the medium. This allows for a more sustainable cooling rate, reducing the potential damage from ice crystal formation. Furthermore, the serum used is extensively tested to protect cells during cell preservation.
FreezeMe One is a ready-to-use solution suitable for a broad spectrum of adherent and suspension cells. There is also a serum-free alternative for cryopreservation: FreezeMe Two (CA FM2-F).
