Accutase is a cell detachment solution that consists of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. It has been developed to meet the most demanding requirements. It is a gentle and effective alternative to trypsin for the routine detachment of adherent cells from standard tissue culture plasticware and adhesion-coated plasticware.
The advantages of Accutase over traditional Trypsin/EDTA treatment are that it is less damaging to the cells, leading to increased viability, and no inactivation of the enzymes by inhibitors or serum is required.
